Our Story
TerraFez started as a workshop created to preserve our Moroccan culture here in the city of Fez. We're all Moroccan, and this craftsmanship runs in the family.
Our grandparents did it, our parents learned from them, and now we're doing our part to keep these techniques alive. We've always been drawn to working with our hands, shaping clay, creating functional pieces.
Why Handmade Matters
Handmade pieces are different from factory made items. When you use one of our washbasins or see our zellige tiles installed, you're getting something that was shaped by real hands using natural materials.
Mass produced items might look similar, but they don't have the same quality. Our pieces have character because each one was made by someone who knows their craft and cares about the result.

We work with people we've known for years. These are trustworthy craftsmen who love what they do. We've built relationships with them over time, and they know exactly what quality we expect.
Our artisans preserve traditional techniques while making a good living. As our business grows, they benefit too.
How We Work
Everything happens in house at TerraFez. We craft the goods, take the photos, design our collections, manage our website, and handle our marketing ourselves. It's more work, but it means we control every step.
We pay close attention to quality and details. If a piece doesn't meet our standards, it doesn't leave our workshop. We take the time to get it right rather than send out something that's not up to our level.
What Ethical Sourcing Means to Us
When we say ethical sourcing, we mean using local clay from our region, recycling metals when possible, and taking care of our artisans. We respect the materials, the environment, and the people who make our products.
Our clay comes from areas around Fez known for good mineral composition. The wood we use is selected carefully and dried naturally. Our metals get traditional hand finishing techniques.
The Cultural Addition
What makes us happy is seeing how our pieces add culture and character to customers' homes. Authentic Moroccan craftsmanship brings warmth to any space, whether it's a modern apartment or a traditional house.
